- Originally only two grasshopper chairs were made. They were presented in 1938 at cabinetmaker Niels Vodder's stand at The Cabinetmaker's exhibition. However, these were not sold, so Finn Juhl bought them himself so that Niels Vodder would not be left with a loss. For many years Finn Juhl kept them in his own home and these have been the only two existing specimens until 2019 when House of Finn Juhl started reproducing the chair.
