Information

This very rare floor lamp, model G-81, designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced by Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB in Markaryd, Sweden during the 1950s, is a prime example of Scandinavian mid-century lighting design.

The lamp is crafted entirely from brass, featuring a cylindrical shade made of stacked horizontal brass rings that diffuse light softly and create a warm ambient glow. At the top, a circular brass loop adds a distinctive sculptural detail. The slender brass column supports the shade, standing firmly on a weighted circular base that ensures stability.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson was celebrated for his innovative approaches to material use and light diffusion, with a focus on creating atmospheric illumination combined with refined craftsmanship. His brass designs are known for their elegant, sculptural qualities.

This piece remains in good vintage condition, showing some natural patina and minor wear consistent with its age. The brass retains its reflective quality, and the lamp’s structure is well preserved.

Dimensions are 20 cm (7.9 inches) in diameter and 97 cm (38.2 inches) in height.
