This mid-century flat-weave carpet, designed by Anne-Marie Boberg and produced in Sweden during the 1950s, features a geometric pattern characteristic of Scandinavian textile design of the period. The composition centers on a large cream-toned field framed by stepped, symmetrical borders in shifting shades of green. Across the surface, small cross-shaped motifs appear in tones of blue, ochre, and muted brown, adding structure and rhythm to the layout. The design is built from carefully interlocked rectangular elements typical of Swedish rya and flat-weave traditions, emphasizing clarity of form and harmonious proportions.
