Ceiling lamp
This rare ceiling lamp, likely produced in Sweden during the 1960s, is a fine example of mid-century Scandinavian modern design. It features a tiered structure composed of concentric brass rings from which numerous round acrylic discs are suspended. These discs, rendered in a warm amber tone, are attached with small metal rings that allow subtle movement, creating a dynamic and shimmering effect when the lamp is illuminated.
The stepped profile formed by the tiered brass framework recalls traditional chandeliers but is reinterpreted here with a distinctly modern aesthetic. The acrylic discs serve as diffusers, softening the light and casting a warm, inviting glow. The combination of brass and acrylic reflects typical Scandinavian mid-century lighting, which skillfully balances organic warmth with industrial materials.
The lamp is in good vintage condition, showing minor wear on the brass consistent with its age. The acrylic discs remain intact, retaining their warm coloration and overall quality.
The lamp measures approximately 50 cm in diameter (19.7 inches) and 28 cm in height (11 inches).
