This exceptionally rare and likely unique dining table is attributed to Aksel Bender Madsen and Ejner Larsen and was produced in Denmark during the mid-20th century. Exemplifying the Danish Modern ethos, the piece combines architectural clarity with refined craftsmanship and a restrained, functional elegance characteristic of the designers’ collaborative work.

The table is executed in solid teak with rosewood detailing, a material combination that highlights the harmony between warmth and structural precision often found in Scandinavian design. The elongated top, measuring an impressive 380 cm in length, allows it to serve as a commanding centerpiece for large dining settings or conference interiors. Its width of 130 cm and height of 70 cm provide balanced proportions, maintaining both presence and approachability.

The frame construction is particularly notable for its sculpted cross-bracing beneath the tabletop. The rounded, tapering legs connect through a series of diagonal stretchers that intersect at a central node, ensuring stability while creating a subtle graphic rhythm when viewed from different angles. The joinery is seamless, with soft transitions between the vertical and horizontal elements — a hallmark of Madsen and Larsen’s attention to ergonomic and structural integrity.
