Grete Jalk easy chairs

This rare set of two easy chairs and a matching stool, designed by Grete Jalk in 1967 and produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark, represents a compelling fusion of Danish modernism and late mid-century industrial sensibility. The stool measures 32.5 cm in height and 60 cm in diameter (approximately 12.8 inches high and 23.6 inches in diameter).

Grete Jalk (1920–2006) remains one of the most influential figures in Danish design, admired for her thoughtful innovations in form, material, and construction. While she is perhaps best known for her work in bent plywood, this 1967 design reflects her adaptability and sensitivity to evolving design currents of the late modern period.
