Hans Olsen armchairs
This rare set of armchairs, model 30, was designed by Hans Olsen and produced by CS Møbler in Denmark during the 1960s. Crafted from solid rosewood, the chairs showcase a deep, rich grain that highlights the sculptural elegance of the design. The gently curved backrest flows seamlessly into the armrests, creating a continuous, organic form that balances aesthetics with comfort.
The original black leather seat cushions remain intact, providing a smooth, durable surface that contrasts subtly with the dark wood. The seat is slightly recessed to follow the ergonomic contours of the frame. The construction is marked by precise joinery and a harmonious blend of curved and linear elements, reflecting Olsen’s expertise in proportion and craftsmanship.
