Information

This rare sideboard was designed by Danish designer Poul Nørreklit and produced by Georg Petersens Møbelfabrik in Denmark during the 1960s. It is a refined example of Danish mid-century modern cabinetry, balancing rigorous geometric lines with rich natural materials. The piece demonstrates a sophisticated construction with a distinct architectural presence.

The sideboard features a long, rectilinear form with a symmetrical façade composed of three front doors clad in highly figured rosewood veneer. The doors exhibit a beautiful natural grain with deep brown and amber tones, forming an elegant vertical pattern across the surface. The carcass rests on an elevated rosewood frame composed of square section legs and stretchers, providing both visual lightness and structural stability.

The interior of the sideboard is configured with adjustable shelving and compartments, including a drop-front section with original fittings and a cream-colored glass surface. The interior surfaces reveal a rich, darker rosewood finish, accentuating the luxurious character of the piece. Small, cylindrical brass pulls complete the exterior with a subtle touch of contrast and sophistication.

This sideboard is in excellent condition. The rosewood surfaces display an even and well-preserved finish, with only minimal signs of age and use. The brass hardware retains a fine patina, and the interior fittings are fully intact and functional.
