Ole Wanscher sideboard
This very rare sideboard, designed by Ole Wanscher and produced by the Danish cabinetmaker A.J. Iversen, represents a pinnacle of mid-century Danish furniture design, combining elegant proportions with refined craftsmanship. Constructed from rosewood, the piece showcases the wood’s distinctive rich grain and deep coloration, enhanced by brass handles and fittings that add subtle metallic accents. The sideboard features a central section with five drawers, each fitted with brass handles, flanked by two compartments concealed behind doors for additional storage. Notably, the interior drawers are lined with a marble-imitation surface, providing a contrasting luxurious detail against the dark rosewood.
