Rare round coffee table attributed to Eero Aarnio, produced in Finland during the 1960s. Executed in handwoven rattan with its original inset glass top, the table is a striking example of the organic forms and natural materials that became synonymous with Scandinavian design during the period. Measuring 103.5 cm in diameter and 50.5 cm in height (40.7 x 19.9 inches), the table combines sculptural presence with lightness through its generous proportions and refined craftsmanship.

The design features a broad circular upper section that gently flares outward above a tapered cylindrical pedestal, creating a distinctive silhouette reminiscent of a mushroom form. The finely woven rattan construction is exceptionally uniform, showcasing the skill of the maker and the warmth of the natural material. A recessed clear glass top protects the woven surface while allowing the intricate radial pattern beneath to remain fully visible, adding both functionality and visual depth.

Although attributed to Eero Aarnio, the table reflects the experimental spirit that defined Finnish design in the 1960s, when designers increasingly explored new forms alongside traditional materials.
