Coaster plates
A set of 14 coaster plates in solid brass, produced by Stelton in Denmark during the 1950s. These understated yet striking pieces reflect the refined sensibility of Scandinavian mid-century design, where craftsmanship and material honesty take precedence over ornamentation.
The plates are crafted from beautifully aged brass, displaying a rich golden tone that has developed a deep and varied patina over time. Their simple circular form is subtly detailed with a recessed inner section and a narrow raised rim, giving them a sense of weight and balance while allowing the metal’s natural surface to speak for itself. Each piece carries marks and variations that tell the story of decades of use, adding to their authenticity and tactile charm.
These brass plates are versatile objects that can serve as coasters, decorative trays, or sculptural accents within an interior. Their quiet, reflective presence pairs beautifully with natural materials such as wood and stone, and they offer a timeless reminder of Stelton’s dedication to functional elegance.
The set is in good vintage condition with visible signs of use and a warm patina consistent with age.
