Information

This rare bar cabinet, of unknown design, was produced in Sweden during the 1960s. The cabinet is constructed from rosewood, showcasing a vibrant and variegated grain pattern in warm reddish-brown tones with darker streaks. The design is marked by its refined proportions and subtle curvature along the front edges, giving the piece a sophisticated and elegant appearance.

When the doors are opened, the interior reveals a well-appointed space with glass shelves and mirrored surfaces, including a mirrored back panel and bottom. This arrangement enhances the visual depth and reflective quality of the cabinet, particularly when illuminated. The internal compartments include a pull-out serving tray made from solid wood, as well as two internal drawers with brass ring handles. These elements add both practicality and luxury to the design. Integrated bottle storage is incorporated within the doors, each featuring precision-cut circular holders arranged in tiered formations for organized storage.

The cabinet is supported by four tapered legs, which contribute to its light, elevated stance, reinforcing the piece’s sense of elegance. Brass hardware accents contrast beautifully with the rich wood and glass materials, adding a refined finishing touch to the overall aesthetic.

The condition of the cabinet is very good, showing minimal wear that is consistent with age and careful use. It remains a striking and functional piece that captures the timeless appeal of mid-century Scandinavian design.

The dimensions of the bar cabinet are 91 cm in width (35.8 inches), 46 cm in depth (18.1 inches), and 117.5 cm in height (46.3 inches).
