Henry Rosengren Hansen sideboard
This rare sideboard is designed by Henry Rosengren Hansen and produced by Brande Møbelindustri during the 1950s. Crafted in richly grained rosewood, the sideboard displays the refined minimalism and functional elegance characteristic of Danish modern design.
The rectangular body rests on six tapered, faceted legs which provide a light and balanced stance to the large volume. The four sliding doors are veneered with vertical rosewood grain and finished with distinctive sculptural integrated handles, adding a tactile and sculptural element to the otherwise clean geometry.
The interior reveals a well-considered layout, with one compartment fitted with four shallow felt-lined drawers and the others with adjustable shelves, offering versatile storage for a range of uses. The craftsmanship is of very high quality, with careful attention to details such as the joinery of the base and the smoothly operating sliding doors.
This example is in excellent condition with a warm, even patina to the rosewood and only minimal signs of use. The sideboard measures 240 cm in length, 47 cm in depth, and 80 cm in height (94.5 x 18.5 x 31.5 inches).
