Milanda Havlova table lamps
This rare pair of table lamps, model Rytmik, designed by Milanda Havlova and produced by Vest Leuchten in Austria during the 1970s, exemplifies mid-century modern design with a strong focus on geometric form and modular construction.
Each lamp features a spherical shade made from interlocking white plastic segments, arranged in layered rings that diffuse light softly while casting intricate shadow patterns. The minimalist white lacquered metal base consists of three elegantly curved legs extending from a circular support, providing both stability and a sculptural aesthetic.
Milanda Havlova’s innovative approach to materials and structural repetition is clearly demonstrated in these lamps, blending functionality with decorative appeal. Vest Leuchten was known for producing high-quality mid-century lighting, and this pair reflects that craftsmanship.
The lamps are in good vintage condition, with minor wear consistent with age. The plastic segments are intact, and the metal bases have developed a subtle patina.
