Angelo Lelii table lamp
A rare table lamp model Stellina / B-014 designed by Angelo Lelii, originally produced by Arredoluce in Italy and manufactured under license by Bergboms in Sweden during the 1950s. This example reflects the refined Italian modernist aesthetic translated into Scandinavian production, combining functional clarity with a subtle decorative character.
The lamp is constructed in brass and black lacquered metal. The base and stem are executed in patinated brass with a warm, aged tone, featuring a finely knurled adjustment detail and a sculptural handle at the top. The shade is formed as a rounded, bell-like dome in black lacquered metal, perforated with a pattern of small star-shaped cut-outs. These perforations create a distinctive atmospheric effect when illuminated, projecting soft points of light and star-like reflections onto surrounding surfaces.
The internal structure reveals a white enameled diffuser element, contributing to an even distribution of light while enhancing the contrast between the dark exterior and the warm glow from within. The lamp retains its original character, including period wiring and construction details consistent with mid-century production techniques.
Marked “B-014 Bergbom” to the underside, confirming its licensed Swedish manufacture. The design remains closely aligned with Lelii’s original Arredoluce versions, which are recognized for their inventive use of perforated metal and ambient lighting effects.
Diameter 11 cm (4.33 in), height 34.5 cm (13.58 in).
The lamp is in good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use, including light wear to the lacquer and natural patina to the brass, consistent with its period.
