Børge Mogensen sideboard

This rare sideboard, model BM57, designed by Børge Mogensen and produced by P. Lauritsen & Son in Denmark in 1957, embodies the designer’s philosophy of functional simplicity combined with exceptional craftsmanship. Constructed from solid oak with a natural finish, the piece highlights the wood’s fine grain and warmth, offering both durability and timeless appeal.

The sideboard’s rectangular form rests on a subtly elevated frame supported by squared legs, which lends the piece a sense of lightness while maintaining structural integrity. The front comprises four symmetrically arranged doors divided into two compartments, each equipped with original brass hinges showing a well-developed patina.
