Carl-Johan Boman easy chairs

This rare pair of easy chairs was designed by Carl-Johan Boman and produced in Finland during the 1940s. The chairs are upholstered in their original mohair velvet fabric, a material valued for its soft sheen and durability, paired with birch legs that emphasize the Scandinavian tradition of combining natural materials with elegant form.

The design is characterized by a rounded, embracing backrest that curves gently into wing-like sides, creating a sculptural yet inviting silhouette. The deep, generously padded seat rests on tapered birch legs, giving the chairs a light but stable stance.
