Information

This rare smaller version of the AT-10 coffee table, designed by Hans J. Wegner and produced by Andreas Tuck in Denmark during the 1950s, is a refined example of Scandinavian modern design. The table showcases clean lines, a harmonious blend of natural materials, and functional elegance characteristic of Wegner’s craftsmanship.

The tabletop is crafted from warm teak, featuring softly rounded edges and a slightly raised lip that highlights Wegner’s attention to detail. This is complemented by a lighter oak frame, creating a subtle yet sophisticated contrast. Below the main surface, a secondary shelf made of woven cane adds both practical storage and a visually light, airy element to the design. The structure rests on four tapered oak legs, which provide stability while maintaining an elegant silhouette.

Hans J. Wegner (1914–2007) was a seminal figure in Danish furniture design, celebrated for his mastery of wood and his ability to merge organic forms with functionalist ideals. His work significantly shaped Scandinavian modernism, with many of his designs remaining iconic for their timeless appeal and superior craftsmanship.

Andreas Tuck was a Danish manufacturer known for producing high-quality wooden furniture in collaboration with leading designers such as Wegner. Their partnership resulted in numerous classic mid-century pieces that continue to be highly regarded.

The table is in excellent condition, showing only minor, age-appropriate wear. It measures 130 cm in width, 50.5 cm in depth, and 50 cm in height (51.2 x 19.9 x 19.7 inches), making it a versatile and elegant addition to any interior.
