Hans Wegner stool
The JH-539 stool, designed by Hans Wegner and produced by cabinetmaker Johannes Hansen in Denmark in 1954, represents a rare and refined example of mid-century Scandinavian craftsmanship. This stool model was notably presented at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ 400th anniversary exhibition in Forum in 1954, underscoring its significance in Danish design history. The stool remains in well-preserved vintage condition, exhibiting a warm patina on the wood and minor wear on the cane seat consistent with its age and use.
