Kai Lyngfeldt-Larsen dining chairs
This is a rare set of six dining chairs designed by Danish architect and furniture designer Kai Lyngfeldt-Larsen in the 1960s. The chairs were produced by Søren Willadsens Møbelfabrik, a Danish manufacturer known for high-quality craftsmanship and close collaborations with notable designers during the mid-20th century.
Each chair is constructed in solid rosewood with a visible and expressive grain. The frames feature gently curved, organic lines typical of Scandinavian modernism, especially in the sculpted backrests, which are ergonomically shaped for comfort and visual balance. The seats are upholstered in black leather, providing a restrained contrast to the darker reddish-brown tone of the rosewood.
The condition of the chairs is very good, with age-appropriate wear and a well-preserved leather surface. The style is characteristic of the Danish modern movement, with its emphasis on minimalism, functionality, and the use of natural materials.
Dimensions per chair are 48 cm wide, 45 cm deep, and 75 cm high, with a seat height of 43 cm (equivalent to approximately 18.9 x 17.7 x 29.5 inches, SH: 16.9 inches).
