Lars Bylund Moon ceiling lamp
This is a rare ceiling lamp model Moon, designed by Lars Bylund and produced by Ateljé Lyktan in Åhus, Sweden, in 1985. The lamp features a distinctive semi-spherical glass shade with a warm opal finish, suspended by three slender brass rods that converge at a polished brass ceiling cup. The brass ring framing the glass shade adds a refined and balanced contrast, giving the piece a clean yet sophisticated appearance typical of Scandinavian lighting design of the late 20th century.
The materials consist of opaline glass and brass, creating a soft, diffused light ideal for ambient illumination. The brass elements show a natural patina consistent with age, contributing to the authenticity and vintage character of the piece. The overall condition is good, with only minor signs of wear and use.
This model reflects Ateljé Lyktan’s dedication to functional yet elegant lighting solutions and is a notable example of Scandinavian postmodern lighting design from the 1980s.
