The table stands at a height of 74 cm (29.1 inches).
Ole Wanscher, a prominent Danish architect and furniture designer, was renowned for his refined craftsmanship and classical interpretation of modern design. Drawing inspiration from 18th-century furniture traditions, Wanscher reimagined these influences through a Scandinavian modern lens. His collaboration with A.J. Iversen, one of Denmark’s most respected cabinetmakers, produced furniture distinguished by exceptional quality, combining robust construction with elegant detailing.
The table rests on four slightly tapered legs connected by gently curved joints, ensuring a seamless transition between the frame and tabletop. The apron features soft sculptural details, exemplifying Wanscher’s precise woodworking skills. Its extension mechanism is thoughtfully designed for easy operation, making the table versatile for both everyday dining and larger gatherings.
The piece remains in well-preserved vintage condition, displaying minor wear that enriches its patina. The craftsmanship and choice of materials reflect the high standards synonymous with Danish mid-century furniture production.
