Östen Kristiansson easy chairs

This is a rare pair of easy chairs designed by Östen Kristiansson and produced by Luxus in Vittsjö, Sweden, during the 1950s. The chairs are constructed from solid oak and feature blue webbing, a classic combination of materials that reflects the Scandinavian modern aesthetic of the era.

The frames are made from warm oak with clean lines and elegantly tapered legs, highlighting the high level of craftsmanship typical of Swedish mid-century design. The webbing, which forms the seat and backrest, is tightly woven and retains a firm yet comfortable structure, showcasing the functional yet refined approach to seating design.
