Information

This rare easy chair, model AP-15, was designed by Hans J. Wegner and produced by AP-Stolen in Denmark in 1951. The chair is constructed in solid oak with Wegner’s characteristic organic shaping, emphasizing the tactile and sculptural qualities of the wood. The frame is finely crafted with smooth, rounded transitions and visible joinery, highlighting the designer’s commitment to honest construction.

The seat and backrest are upholstered in a green wool fabric that retains its original character, with a rich patina and subtle signs of wear consistent with age. The high backrest with an integrated headrest offers excellent comfort and support, while the slightly reclined posture reflects Wegner’s focus on ergonomics and relaxation.

His work for AP-Stolen includes several of his most iconic chairs, which remain highly collectible today for their timeless design and superb craftsmanship.

The chair measures 77 cm in width, 80 cm in depth, and 100 cm in height (30.3 x 31.5 x 39.4 inches), with a seat height of 39 cm (15.4 inches).
