Arne Norell sofa

This rare two-seat sofa, model Inca, was designed by Arne Norell in the 1960s and produced by Arne Norell AB in Sweden. The frame is executed in dark-stained beech, a robust and finely grained hardwood, paired with brass fittings that provide both strength and visual contrast. The seat and back cushions are upholstered in dark brown leather with a subtle reddish tone, secured with visible buckled straps that emphasize the handcrafted detailing. The leather has developed a rich patina with areas of wear, consistent with age and use, contributing to its authenticity and historical character.

The Inca model exemplifies Norell’s interest in modular, easily assembled furniture that combines traditional materials with modern construction principles.
