Jørgen Lund & Ole Larsen easy chairs

This rare pair of easy chairs, model Bo-911, was designed by the Danish designers Jørgen Lund and Ole Larsen in the 1960s. Produced in very limited numbers by Bo-Ex in Denmark, the model is an uncommon example of Scandinavian modern seating that combines minimalism with strong material presence. A matching sofa was also produced, though equally rare.

The chairs are constructed with matt-chromed steel frames, formed into a continuous, squared tubular structure that supports the seat and back. The design emphasizes clean lines and geometric balance, characteristic of the modernist influence on Danish furniture of this period. The seat and back cushions are upholstered in brown leather, which has developed a natural patina and displays minor signs of wear consistent with age. The leather is supple and soft, creating a striking contrast with the cool industrial character of the chromed steel.
