Svend Langkilde
Svend Langkilde (1911–1996) was a Danish cabinetmaker and furniture designer associated with the international success of Danish Modern furniture during the mid-20th century. He is particularly recognized for his refined craftsmanship and careful attention to proportion, working primarily in richly grained woods such as rosewood and teak. Biography
Svend Langkilde trained as a cabinetmaker in Denmark, developing a strong foundation in traditional woodworking techniques that would remain central to his practice throughout his career.
