Roland Wilhelmsson bench

This rare coffee table, also known as the “Bamse” model, was designed by Swedish architect and furniture designer Roland Wilhelmsson and produced by Karl Andersson & Söner AB in Sweden during the 1970s. It is crafted entirely from solid pine, a material closely associated with the Scandinavian modernist movement, known for its natural warmth, visible grain, and durability. The table’s robust and geometric construction reflects Wilhelmsson’s architectural background and his commitment to honest, functional design, where the material’s inherent qualities are allowed to speak for themselves.
