Arne Vodder desk

The rare model 209 L-shaped desk with integrated sideboard, designed by Arne Vodder and produced by Sibast Møbelfabrik in Denmark, is a superb example of functional elegance within mid-century Danish modernism. Created during the height of Vodder’s design career, this piece reflects his masterful command of proportion, material richness, and architectural composition, marking it as one of the most celebrated executive desk designs of the 20th century.

Constructed from luxurious rosewood, the desk showcases dramatic, expressive grain patterns and deep reddish-brown hues—qualities that define the best of Danish cabinetmaking. The wood’s surface has been meticulously maintained, now bearing a satin-like patina that speaks to the desk’s age and provenance while preserving its original character. This desk is in excellent vintage condition. The rosewood surfaces are clean, polished, and retain their depth and vibrancy.
