Asea wall lamps
Outdoor wall lamps produced by ASEA in Sweden during the 1960s. These fixtures reflect the restrained and functional Scandinavian approach to exterior lighting of the period, combining durable industrial materials with a clean, architectural silhouette.
Each lamp features a wall-mounted bracket in lacquered metal, finished in a dark grey tone. The gently curved arm supports a wide, conical metal shade with a white lacquered underside, designed to direct light downward while softly reflecting it. Beneath the shade sits a spherical opaline glass globe, providing an even and diffused illumination. The contrast between the matte metal and the smooth opaline glass creates a balanced and timeless composition.
When lit, the opaline globe emits a warm and ambient glow, suitable for entrances, patios, or garden façades. The design ensures both functional downward light and a surrounding atmospheric halo, characteristic of mid-century Scandinavian outdoor lighting.
The lamps are in good vintage condition with small signs of usage, including minor wear to the lacquered surface consistent with age. The glass globes remain well preserved, contributing to the overall refined appearance of the pieces.
