Carl-Gustaf Hiort af Ornäs easy chairs

The Pedro easy chairs were designed by Carl-Gustaf Hiort af Ornäs and produced by Puunveisto Oy in Finland during the 1950s. These chairs exemplify the Scandinavian modern design ethos through their organic shapes, sculptural elegance, and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.

Each chair’s frame is made from solid birch, a material prized in Finnish furniture design for its strength, durability, and warm natural tone. These chairs are in excellent condition, featuring freshly reupholstered seats and well-preserved wooden frames. The original structure remains fully intact, maintaining the chairs’ intended ergonomic support and aesthetic appeal.

Each chair measures approximately 73 cm in width, 70 cm in depth, and 84 cm in height (28.7 x 27.6 x 33.1 inches), with a seat height of 40 cm (15.7 inches).
