Desk
This freestanding desk, produced in Denmark during the 1960s, is crafted from solid oak and features brass hardware. The design presents a rectangular tabletop with a gently beveled edge, supported by tapered legs that contribute to a balanced and refined aesthetic. The visible natural oak grain highlights the material’s organic texture and warm tone throughout the piece.
The desk offers a symmetrical drawer configuration, with three drawers on the right side and two on the left, providing ample storage options. A central drawer spans the width of the desk, adding further functional space. Each drawer is fitted with brass handles that introduce a subtle decorative contrast to the oak surface. The back of the desk is fully finished, making it suitable for placement anywhere within a room.
Measuring 150 cm in width, 75 cm in depth, and 72.5 cm in height (59.1 by 29.5 by 28.5 inches), the desk shows signs of age-appropriate wear, including a natural patina on the wood, especially on the desktop. The brass handles have developed a slight aged patina, enhancing the vintage character of the piece.
