Eje Ahlgren table lamp

This table lamp, model B-075, was designed by Eje Ahlgren and produced by Bergboms in Sweden during the 1950s. The lamp is made entirely of brass and demonstrates the refined minimalism characteristic of Scandinavian mid-century lighting design.

The form consists of a hemispherical shade with a distinctive concentric louver diffuser that softens and directs the light evenly. The shade is supported by a slender, vertical brass stem mounted on a circular base of solid brass, giving the lamp both stability and visual balance. A pull-chain switch with a small brass sphere complements the design’s functional simplicity.

The brass surface has developed a warm patina consistent with age, which enhances the lamp’s sculptural presence. The original finish remains intact, showing minor wear and faint surface marks that testify to its vintage authenticity.
