Folke Bensow stools
These rare stools, known as “Trädgårdsmöbel nr 2” were designed by Folke Bensow and produced by Näfveqvarns Bruk in Sweden in 1920. The design reflects the Swedish Grace movement, which combined neoclassical influences with the emerging modernist aesthetic of the early 20th century.
The stools feature a cast iron frame with a distinctive silhouette, characterized by its curved legs and geometric structure. The side supports incorporate decorative elements. The seat consists of painted wooden slats, which have aged over time, showing a natural patina that highlights the material’s texture and history.
