Frode Holm bureau

This rare mid-century dressing table or bureau, designed by Frode Holm, was retailed through the esteemed Illums Bolighus store in Copenhagen, Denmark, during the 1950s. The piece is crafted from high-quality rosewood, known for its deep, warm hues and intricate grain patterns, which are showcased beautifully in the construction of the table. The rich tones of the rosewood give the piece a sophisticated and timeless appeal, while the brass handles and keyhole fittings add refined accents that contrast elegantly with the wood’s natural color.

The design follows the principles of Scandinavian modernism, characterized by clean lines and functional simplicity. The left side of the bureau features a set of symmetrical drawers, providing ample storage space for personal items.
