The “Brut” cabinet, designed and handcrafted by Swedish cabinetmaker Gustav Aliki in 2020, is a contemporary interpretation of Scandinavian design principles. Constructed entirely from pine wood, the cabinet features a light, warm natural wood color that highlights the distinctive grain patterns. The architecture of the piece is divided into two vertical sections. On one side, a set of five drawers provides practical storage, each drawer equipped with minimalist, square-shaped handles and precisely executed dovetail joints that emphasize both the craftsmanship and functional design of the piece. The adjacent section of the cabinet is composed of an intricate latticework made of interwoven pine strips, forming a semi-transparent screen.
