Information

This rare armchair, model JH-813, designed by Hans Wegner and produced by Johannes Hansen in Denmark during the 1970s, is a distinguished example of mid-century Scandinavian modernism. Its steel frame forms a continuous, angular structure integrating legs, seat supports, and armrests, all finished with a brushed surface that lends a minimalist, industrial aesthetic. The original patinated leather seat and backrest are stretched in a sling style, offering both ergonomic comfort and a warm, aged character with natural texture and color variations.

Hans Wegner’s design philosophy, emphasizing both form and function, is evident in this chair’s elegant yet practical construction. The collaboration with Johannes Hansen, known for their superb craftsmanship, ensures this piece’s refined quality and timeless appeal.

Measuring 60 cm wide, 55 cm deep, and 84 cm high (23.6 x 21.7 x 33 inches), with a seat height of 44 cm (17.3 inches), the chair is in good vintage condition, featuring a beautifully aged leather patina that enriches its character.
