This very rare sideboard was designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen and produced by Faarup Møbelfabrik in Denmark during the 1950s. Crafted from rosewood, the piece showcases a rich and expressive wood grain with a deep, warm tone, exemplifying the material quality central to Scandinavian modern furniture. The design consists of a balanced composition featuring four drawers flanked by three doors. Integrated round wooden handles maintain a clean, minimalist appearance, enhancing the functional and understated elegance of the sideboard.

Ib Kofod-Larsen (1921–2003) was a distinguished Danish architect and furniture designer celebrated for his sophisticated modernist approach and exceptional skill in working with premium woods. His collaboration with Faarup Møbelfabrik, a respected Danish manufacturer, resulted in furniture characterized by precise craftsmanship, clean lines, and a strong emphasis on materiality.

The sideboard is supported by a subtly recessed base with round legs connected by a stretcher, providing both visual lightness and structural stability. Inside, the cabinet offers adjustable shelving and well-organized storage options, combining practicality with refined design. The piece remains in well-preserved vintage condition, exhibiting only minor wear consistent with its age.
