Information

This rare three-seat sofa was designed by Lennart Bender and produced by Stjernmöbler in Herrljunga, Sweden, during the 1970s. The frame is constructed from solid rosewood, displaying a rich, dark grain that provides a striking contrast to the light beige upholstery. The structure features a continuous curved base and open side panels, connected with precise joinery that underscores the high level of craftsmanship.

The seat and back cushions are newly reupholstered in a soft velvet fabric with a neutral beige tone. These cushions are generously padded and adorned with deep button tufting, lending the sofa a structured yet inviting appearance. The backrest flows seamlessly into the armrests, encircling the seating area with a smooth, continuous curve.

The design exemplifies Scandinavian modernism, balancing organic materials with geometric form. The open rosewood frame creates a sense of lightness without sacrificing stability, while the combination of rosewood and plush upholstery reflects the mid-century Swedish tradition of pairing high-quality natural materials with functional, elegant shapes.

The sofa is in excellent condition, with a fully restored frame that highlights the natural beauty of the wood grain and tone, complemented by fresh upholstery.
