Information

Rare pair of armchairs model 62 designed by Niels Otto Møller, produced by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark during the 1960s. The frames are crafted from richly grained rosewood with a warm, deep tone and refined organic curvature, characteristic of Møller’s sculptural craftsmanship. The sculpted armrests and three horizontal back slats are seamlessly integrated into the structure, displaying the Danish mastery of joinery and proportion.

The seats retain their original black leather upholstery, showing natural wear consistent with age, while maintaining a supple surface and excellent overall integrity. The patina across both the rosewood and leather enhances the visual depth of the materials and attests to the authenticity of the pieces.

Niels Otto Møller (1920–1982) was renowned for his dedication to traditional Danish cabinetmaking and his pursuit of perfection in both material and form. His designs for J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik exemplify mid-century Scandinavian ideals—minimalism, tactile quality, and functional beauty.

These armchairs represent a timeless expression of mid-century Danish modern design, suitable for both formal and domestic interiors.

Dimensions (W x D x H): 54 × 51 × 80 cm, seat height 44.5 cm (21.3 × 20.1 × 31.5 in, SH 17.5 in).
