Pierre Forssell candlesticks
This collection comprises eight rare modular candlesticks designed by Pierre Forssell and produced by Skultuna in Sweden during the 1950s. Crafted entirely from brass, each candlestick features an angular zigzag base that allows them to be arranged flexibly—either in a continuous linear formation or grouped in various configurations. The design is both sculptural and architectural, reflecting Forssell’s signature clean, geometric aesthetic.
Each unit bears Forssell’s engraved signature alongside the Skultuna hallmark and model number 70 on the underside, attesting to its authenticity and origin. The brass surfaces display a natural patina and oxidation consistent with their age and material characteristics, adding visual depth and a tactile quality typical of vintage Scandinavian metalwork.
Measuring 7 cm in width, 7.5 cm in depth, and 3.5 cm in height, these candlesticks embody the mid-century Scandinavian ethos where functional design harmonizes with decorative simplicity. The modular nature and meticulous craftsmanship highlight Forssell’s innovative approach to both form and utility in lighting accessories.
