Severin Hansen dressing table

This rare desk or vanity, model 65, was designed by Severin Hansen in the 1950s and produced by Haslev Møbelsnedkeri in Denmark. It exemplifies Hansen’s well-known design language, characterized by sharp edges, elegant proportions, and seamless joinery, which became defining features of his furniture for Haslev.

The piece is constructed in rosewood, a material highly valued during the mid-20th century for its depth of color and dramatic grain. The surface presents rich variations from deep brown to reddish undertones, with strong linear figuring that emphasizes the clean geometry of the form.
