Stig Lindberg tapestry

This is a tapestry titled “Livets träd” (Tree of Life) designed by Stig Lindberg and produced by Nordiska Kompaniet’s Textilkammare in Sweden. Stig Lindberg, one of Sweden’s most iconic designers, was active across a variety of mediums including ceramics, porcelain, illustration, and textiles. His textile designs are celebrated for their playful, imaginative character and bold use of color and form. Lindberg worked with NK’s Textilkammare in the mid-20th century, producing fabrics that often blended elements of folklore with modernist abstraction.
