This rare table lamp was designed by Danish designer Svend Aage Holm Sørensen and produced by Holm Sørensen & Co in Denmark during the 1950s. Constructed from black lacquered metal, brass, and braided leather, it exemplifies mid-century Scandinavian modernism, merging practical functionality with sculptural elegance.

The lamp features a conical black metal shade designed to direct light downward, supported by a distinctive double-arched brass arm. The structure is anchored by a circular brass base, providing stability while maintaining an open and lightweight aesthetic. The lower section of the arm is wrapped in hand-braided leather, introducing a warm tactile contrast to the metal components. The on/off switch is conveniently integrated into the top of the shade for ease of use.
