Tapio Wirkkala tray

This very rare and large tray, designed by Tapio Wirkkala and produced by Soinne et Kni in Finland, is a refined example of mid-20th-century Scandinavian design, where natural materials and organic form converge with technical mastery. Known for his sculptural sensitivity and deep respect for Finnish craftsmanship, Wirkkala often explored wood as a medium, and this tray is one of his most iconic expressions in laminated birch.
