Rare ceiling lamp produced by Valinte Oy, Finland, during the 1940s. This highly unusual and seldom-seen model combines refined craftsmanship with an inventive use of materials, reflecting the experimental spirit of Nordic lighting design in the years surrounding the Second World War. Its elongated oval form and delicate construction give the fixture a distinctive architectural presence while maintaining an elegant visual lightness.

The shade is formed from finely crafted wooden slats woven together with light-colored thread, creating a flexible lattice that wraps around the perimeter of the fixture.
