Vicke Lindstrand vase
This glass vase was designed by Vicke Lindstrand and produced by Kosta Glasbruk in Sweden during the 1960s. It is crafted using the Sommerso technique, which involves encasing a vibrant cobalt blue core within a thick layer of clear glass, resulting in a striking sense of visual depth. The vase has a rounded, compact form with gently curved edges and a slightly flattened profile, giving it a sculptural presence.
The vase is in well-preserved condition, free from visible cracks or chips. The base shows minor wear consistent with its age and use. It is signed on the underside with “LH 1825 Kosta,” confirming its authenticity and origin.
