Vicke Lindstrand vase

This glass vase was designed by Vicke Lindstrand and produced by Kosta Glasbruk in Sweden during the 1960s. It is signed “LH 1448 Kosta” confirming its authenticity and connection to Kosta’s esteemed glass production. Lindstrand was a pioneering figure in Scandinavian glass design, renowned for his innovative use of form and color.

The vase is crafted using the Sommerso technique, which features a rich amber-brown core encased within a thick layer of clear glass. This technique creates an optical illusion of depth, with the colored glass appearing to float inside the transparent outer layer.
