Vilhelm Lauritzen ceiling lamp

This ceiling lamp, model Christiansborg, was designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen and produced by Louis Poulsen in Denmark during the 1950s. It represents a refined example of Scandinavian mid-century lighting, combining functional principles with high-quality materials and craftsmanship. The lamp features a circular brass frame supporting five evenly spaced opal glass shades. Each shade has a rounded, slightly tapered form designed to diffuse light softly while reducing glare. Suspended by three slender steel cables alongside an electrical cord encased in leather, the lamp is anchored to a brass ceiling mount with a flared profile.
