Bent Helweg-Møller dining table

This unique dining table was designed by Bent Helweg-Møller and specially produced by cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær in Denmark during the 1950s. Executed as a special order, the table reflects the high level of craftsmanship associated with Danish cabinetmaking of the period, combining carefully balanced proportions with a rich and expressive use of materials.

The table is crafted in rosewood, chosen for its deep colour, lively grain pattern, and natural depth. The circular tabletop has a generous diameter, creating a strong yet elegant presence, while the extension function allows it to transform into a larger dining table when needed. Brass detailing adds a subtle contrast to the warm rosewood, introducing a refined material accent without disturbing the clean overall expression.
